  • The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has issued a new SOP to remove broken-down buses in the national capital and has deployed cranes and Quick Response Teams (QRTs) at 30 key locations across the city that will monitor and function to remove them.

The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has introduced a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to enhance the efficiency and safety of its bus services. Under this new protocol, any DTC bus that breaks down must be removed from service within 15 minutes to minimize disruptions. Depot managers are now required to keep a close watch on buses and report any issues immediately. Additionally, buses that frequently break down will be taken out of service for thorough repairs, and drivers found operating faulty buses will face disciplinary action. This initiative aims to improve the overall commuting experience for passengers in Delhi by ensuring more reliable and safer bus services.
