Mumbai, Apr 11 (PTI) E-transit (electric transport) is a good option for urban transport and officials must examine its financial viability and submit a report, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Friday. He was speaking at meeting with representatives of HESS-AG company regarding the pilot launch of e-transit in Pimpri-Chinchwad civic area in Pune […]

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has advocated for the adoption of e-transit systems as a sustainable solution for urban transportation, emphasizing their potential to reduce pollution and traffic congestion. Speaking at a review meeting on urban development projects, he instructed officials to conduct a thorough study on the financial viability of implementing e-transit systems across the state. The CM highlighted the success of the metro rail in cities like Lucknow and Kanpur and stressed the need for similar efficient public transport options in other urban areas. He also directed officials to expedite the completion of ongoing urban development projects and ensure they meet quality standards, underscoring the government's commitment to enhancing urban infrastructure and public services.
