  • Ford Motor has hiked prices on three of its Mexico-produced models effective May 2, becoming one of the first major automakers to adjust sticker prices following U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs.

Ford has increased the prices of its vehicles produced in Mexico and sold in Canada, citing new tariffs as the reason for the hike. The price increase, which ranges from $1,500 to $2,500 depending on the model, affects vehicles like the Ford Mustang Mach-E and the Ford Bronco Sport. This decision comes in response to the new tariffs imposed under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Ford's move is aimed at offsetting the additional costs incurred due to these tariffs, and the company has stated that it had no choice but to pass these costs onto consumers.
