On a tragic Sunday, a small plane crash in upstate New York claimed the lives of six members of the same family. The incident occurred when the single-engine Piper PA-28 crashed into a muddy field in the town of Masonville, Delaware County, around 2 p.m. The victims were identified as Roger Beggs, 76, Laura Van Epps, 43, Ryan Van Epps, 42, James R. Van Epps, 12, Harrison Van Epps, 10, and Laura's unborn child. The family was returning home to Sidney, New York, after visiting relatives in Cooperstown. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the cause of the crash, with preliminary reports suggesting that the plane may have encountered severe weather conditions. The community is mourning the loss and has set up a GoFundMe page to support the surviving family members.
