Amazon, ZBN Transport deny liability in fatal 18-vehicle I-35 crash, challenge allegations

In a legal response to a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of David Belter, who was killed in an 18-vehicle pileup on I-35 in December 2021, Amazon and ZBN Transport have denied liability and challenged the allegations made against them. The companies assert that the claims against them are "vague and ambiguous" and that they had no control over the actions of the truck driver involved in the crash. They also argue that the lawsuit fails to establish a direct link between their actions and the accident. The defendants are seeking to have the case dismissed, claiming that the plaintiffs have not provided sufficient evidence to support their allegations.
