The fire happened around 4:37 a.m. Wednesday and destroyed 10 cars in the cab units at 32 E. Airline Highway in Kenner at the CRC headquarters.

On April 19, 2024, in Kenner, Louisiana, two separate incidents involving 18-wheeler cab fires occurred within a short period. The first fire was reported around 11:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-10 near the Williams Boulevard exit, where the cab of an 18-wheeler was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire, and no injuries were reported. Approximately 30 minutes later, another 18-wheeler cab fire was reported on the westbound side of I-10 near the Loyola Drive exit. This second fire was also quickly put out by firefighters, with no injuries reported. The cause of both fires is under investigation, and authorities are looking into whether the incidents are related.
