  • Supply chain technology provider Trimble Inc. posted first-quarter transportation and logistics revenue of $146 million, a 25% year-over-year decrease. CEO Rob Painter said Trimble's transportation and logistics segment saw 7% annual recurring revenue growth in the quarter despite the ongoing freight recession.

Trimble's first-quarter transportation revenue fell 25% to $146 million, as reported in their recent earnings. The decline was attributed to lower sales in their transportation and logistics segments, with particular weakness inELD (electronic logging device) sales and subscriptions. Despite the downturn, Trimble's overall revenue for the quarter was $915 million, a slight decrease from the previous year's $916 million. The company also noted that their operating income rose to $169 million from $161 million in the prior year, indicating some resilience in their broader business operations amidst the challenges faced in the transportation sector.
