New, free shuttle coming to downtown Overland Park this summer

A free shuttle service is set to launch in Downtown Overland Park, Kansas, starting in early May, aimed at enhancing accessibility and boosting local business. The shuttle, funded by the Overland Park Downtown Partnership, will operate Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., covering a loop that includes key areas like the Clock Tower Plaza and the Overland Park Farmers' Market. The service, which will use a 12-passenger electric vehicle, is designed to be user-friendly with no fixed stops, allowing passengers to hop on and off at their convenience. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize the downtown area, encouraging more foot traffic and supporting local economic growth.
