  New Albany announced Monday that it has reached an agreement with firefighters on a new three-year labor contract.

The New Albany Firefighters Union has reached a new contract agreement with the city, which was approved by the union members on April 11, 2024. The contract, effective from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026, includes a 4% pay increase for firefighters in the first year, followed by 3% raises in the subsequent two years. Additionally, the agreement provides for increased contributions to health savings accounts and enhancements in uniform allowances.
