Honda spins into micromobility business with electric quadricycle

Honda is spinning off its micromobility business into a new subsidiary called Honda Mobility Solutions, focusing on developing and selling electric quadricycles like the Honda eGT, which is designed for urban environments and can reach speeds up to 37 mph. The move aims to address the growing demand for sustainable urban transportation solutions, with the new subsidiary set to begin operations in April 2023. The Honda eGT, already available in Europe, features a compact design, a 1.4 kWh battery, and a range of about 25 miles, positioning it as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional urban transport options.
