Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed two new pieces of legislation to help further solidify the state's position as a global leader in aerospace, transportation and advanced mobility innovation.
Governor Ron DeSantis signed new legislation, House Bill 7071, aimed at strengthening Florida's aerospace and transportation industries. The bill, signed at the 35th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, focuses on enhancing the state's aerospace workforce, infrastructure, and innovation. Key provisions include the establishment of the Florida Space Exploration Monument, increased funding for the Space Florida agency, and initiatives to attract and retain aerospace talent. Additionally, the legislation supports the expansion of transportation infrastructure to accommodate the growing needs of the aerospace sector, positioning Florida as a leader in the industry.
