20 injured as state transport bus hits tree in Maharashtra's Satara district

On June 26, 2024, a state transport bus carrying passengers from Mumbai to Mahabaleshwar crashed into a tree in Maharashtra's Satara district, injuring 20 people. The accident occurred around 7:30 am near Varandha Ghat when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The injured were promptly taken to a nearby hospital, with three individuals reported to be in critical condition. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
