The East Texas Council of Governments has announced that it has received a quarter of a million dollars from the Texas Veterans Commission to use for transportation for veterans via GoBus.

The East Texas Council of Governments (ETCOG) has been awarded a $250,000 grant from the Texas Veterans Commission to enhance transportation services for veterans through its GoBus program. This funding will enable GoBus to provide free rides to veterans, facilitating their access to essential services such as healthcare, employment, and other critical needs. The grant aims to improve the quality of life for veterans in the East Texas region by ensuring they have reliable transportation options.
