The West Bengal Transport Department has launched an initiative to upskill garage workers in response to the evolving automotive sector, particularly with the rise of electric vehicles (EVs). This program, in collaboration with the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), aims to train 500 workers across 25 garages in Kolkata, focusing on modern automotive technologies including EV maintenance and repair.
