Wednesday afternoon, Charlotte celebrated the launch of a new electric vehicle car-share program.
Charlotte, North Carolina, has launched a new electric vehicle (EV) car-sharing program called "Charlotte Car Share," aimed at providing affordable and sustainable transportation options to its residents. The initiative, a collaboration between the city and the non-profit organization "Shared-Use Mobility Center," offers a fleet of 15 electric vehicles available for rent by the hour or day through a mobile app. The program is designed to reduce carbon emissions, alleviate parking congestion, and provide an alternative to car ownership, particularly for those who cannot afford a personal vehicle.
