Hyundai Motor Company has introduced a zero-emission Elec City electric bus on Yakushima Island, Japan, to promote sustainable public transportation. This initiative, part of a pilot project with Yakushima Town and local tourism associations, aims to reduce carbon emissions and enhance the island's appeal as an eco-friendly destination. The Elec City bus, equipped with advanced technology and a 256 kWh battery, can travel up to 290 kilometers on a single charge, making it suitable for the island's routes.
