The investigation also found that patients were paid kickbacks by the two to use their services and facilitate the fraud.

A father and son from New York, identified as 58-year-old Robert S. Wilson and 29-year-old Robert W. Wilson, were charged with stealing over $1.2 million through a Medicaid transportation fraud scheme. The duo allegedly operated a company, Wilson Transportation Services, which billed Medicaid for non-emergency medical transportation services that were never provided. The fraudulent activities took place between January 2017 and December 2019, involving the submission of false claims for trips that did not occur. The Wilsons face multiple charges, including grand larceny, health care fraud, and offering a false instrument for filing. If convicted, they could face up to 25 years in prison.
