Mass. man pleads guilty to transporting child sexual abuse material

A Massachusetts man, Michael Bowden, aged 58, has pleaded guilty to charges of transporting and possessing child pornography. The case, which was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Anne Paruti, revealed that Bowden used the messaging app Kik to share child sexual abuse material. He faces a sentence ranging from 5 to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and a term of supervised release that could last from 5 years to life. Bowden is scheduled for sentencing on July 10.
