On June 14, 2024, in Gurugram, Haryana, police seized a consignment of illegally transported India-made foreign liquor (IMFL) and arrested two individuals involved in the operation. The seizure, which included 1,176 bottles of IMFL valued at approximately Rs 25 lakh, occurred during a routine vehicle check near the Pachgaon area. The arrested suspects, identified as Rohit Kumar and Naresh Kumar, were transporting the liquor from Punjab to Haryana without the necessary permits. The police have registered a case under the Punjab Excise Act and are continuing their investigation to uncover the broader network behind this illegal liquor trade.
