U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said Thursday he would like to see lawmakers approve at least $20 billion in initial funding for air traffic control modernization in a tax and budget bill.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has called for a minimum of 25% of new vehicles sold in the U.S. to be electric by 2030, emphasizing the need for a rapid transition to electric vehicles (EVs) to combat climate change. Speaking at the Washington auto show, Buttigieg highlighted the Biden administration's commitment to expanding EV charging infrastructure and incentivizing EV adoption through tax credits and other measures. He stressed the importance of collaboration between the government, automakers, and other stakeholders to achieve this ambitious goal, which aligns with broader efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to a cleaner transportation sector.
