Kansas firm Garmin on 11 June revealed the G5000 Prime integrated flight deck for Part 25 aircraft, representing its next-generation avionics suite for transport-category jets.

Garmin has introduced the G5000 Prime, a new avionics suite designed for transport category aircraft, enhancing its existing G5000 system with features tailored for larger aircraft. The G5000 Prime includes three landscape-oriented flight displays, dual flight management systems, and an optional third flight management system for redundancy. It supports Required Navigation Performance Authorization Required (RNP AR) approaches, advanced weather detection, and synthetic vision technology. The system is compatible with Garmin's existing autopilot and flight control systems, and it can be integrated with various aircraft types, including business jets and regional airliners. The G5000 Prime aims to provide a scalable, cost-effective solution for modernizing avionics in transport category aircraft.
