Gov. Landry announces new leadership at the Department of Transportation and Development

On June 12, 2025, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry announced the appointment of new leadership for the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD). Dr. Eric Kalivoda, who has served as the secretary of DOTD since 2016, will be succeeded by Chad Winchester, the current deputy secretary. Governor Landry praised Dr. Kalivoda's dedication and contributions to the state's infrastructure over his tenure. Chad Winchester, who has been with DOTD since 2003 and has held various leadership roles within the department, expressed his commitment to continuing the progress made under Dr. Kalivoda's leadership and to further enhancing Louisiana's transportation systems.
