FDOT officials released a statement on Monday acknowledging leaders with dozens of organizations who participated in an annual safety summit this month.

The Ocala Marion Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) was honored with the 2025 Best Use of Technology Award by the Florida Association of Transportation Planning Organizations for their educational video series. The series, which covers topics such as bicycle and pedestrian safety, public transit, and transportation planning, was praised for its innovative approach to engaging the community and promoting transportation awareness. The TPO's Executive Director, Anthony Cuellar, expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the organization's commitment to using technology to enhance public understanding and involvement in transportation issues.
