The holy relics of Lord Buddha and his disciples Arahant Sariputta and Arahant Maha Moggallana are set to be transported from India to Vietnam for a 30-day exposition, marking the first time these relics will be showcased in Vietnam. The relics will be flown by a special Indian Air Force aircraft and will be displayed in three Vietnamese cities: Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, from May 20 to June 18, 2023. This event is expected to strengthen the cultural and spiritual ties between India and Vietnam, with the exposition being organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam in collaboration with the Indian Embassy in Hanoi. The relics, currently housed in the National Museum in New Delhi, were previously showcased in Thailand and Mongolia, drawing large crowds and fostering goodwill between nations.
