  • Hyundai is recalling more than 226,000 SUVs and small cars in the U.S. because the rearview camera image may not show up on the screens. The recall covers certain Santa Fe and Elantra vehicles from the 2021 and 2022 model years.

Hyundai is recalling over 226,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a potential fire risk associated with the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module. The recall affects various models including the 2017-2022 Santa Fe, 2017-2022 Santa Fe Sport, 2019 Santa Fe XL, 2021-2022 Santa Fe HEV, 2022 Santa Fe Plug-in HEV, and 2022-2023 Santa Cruz. The issue stems from brake fluid leaks that could cause an electrical short, potentially leading to a fire. Owners are advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until repairs can be made. Dealers will inspect and replace the ABS module fuse at no cost, with notification letters to be mailed out on May 1, 2023.
