Emily Chung, a 2023 graduate from Centennial College's Electromechanical Engineering Technology program, has been honored with the Premier’s Award for Skilled Trades Impact. This prestigious award recognizes her significant contributions to the skilled trades sector in Ontario. Chung, who has been working as an automation technician at Magna International, was celebrated for her innovative work in automation and her commitment to mentoring others in the field. Her journey into the trades was inspired by her father, a tool and die maker, and she has since become a role model for women in STEM, actively promoting the importance of skilled trades through various community and educational initiatives.
