Sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey rose 5.3% year-on-year in November to 121,094 units, the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association said on Tuesday.

In November 2024, Turkish car sales surged by 53% compared to the same month in the previous year, reaching a total of 103,369 vehicles sold, according to data from the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD). This increase was driven by a significant rise in both passenger car and light commercial vehicle sales. Passenger car sales alone jumped by 52.6% to 83,431 units, while light commercial vehicle sales increased by 54.5% to 19,938 units. The ODMD attributed this growth to a combination of factors including economic recovery, increased consumer confidence, and promotional campaigns by manufacturers. However, despite the robust sales figures, the association noted that the market still faces challenges such as supply chain disruptions and inflationary pressures.
