The company is shutting down its European operations simultaneously, and existing employees in Europe will have to reapply for new jobs.

Torc Robotics, a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, is expanding its operations by planning to open new offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Austin, Texas. This expansion aims to support the company's growth in autonomous vehicle technology, particularly for long-haul trucking. The Albuquerque office will focus on software development, while the Austin location will concentrate on hardware engineering. These new facilities are part of Torc's strategy to enhance its capabilities in developing and testing self-driving trucks, with the goal of commercializing autonomous trucks by 2027. The expansion also reflects Torc's commitment to creating jobs and fostering innovation in the autonomous vehicle sector.
