President Joe Biden has decided not to pardon his son, Hunter Biden, who faces felony gun charges, according to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll. The poll, which surveyed 1,005 U.S. adults, found that 67% of Americans believe Hunter Biden should not receive a pardon from his father. This sentiment is shared across party lines, with 53% of Democrats, 82% of Republicans, and 65% of independents opposing a pardon. Hunter Biden has been indicted on three felony charges related to his 2018 purchase of a revolver, which he allegedly lied about his drug use during the transaction. The case has drawn significant public and political attention, with many viewing it as a test of the justice system's impartiality.
