The redevelopment plan for Ahmedabad Railway Station includes a significant focus on preserving the city's heritage by ensuring that protected monuments like the Jhoolta Minara and the Kalupur Swaminarayan Mandir are not impacted. The plan, which was discussed in a meeting involving the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), and the Ahmedabad Railway Division, proposes to maintain a wide berth around these monuments to avoid any construction-related damage.
