  • The new 4Runner lineup has a canyon-like price gap, starting at around $42K and eclipsing $68K, and we spec the spectrum.

The 2025 Toyota 4Runner introduces a new generation with significant updates, including a redesigned exterior and interior, and a new turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine replacing the previous V-6. This engine offers 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, with an optional hybrid variant, the i-Force Max, boosting output to 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle maintains its body-on-frame construction, offering both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive options. Pricing starts at $41,850 for the base SR5 model, with the range-topping Limited trim reaching $54,705. The 4Runner now features a larger 14.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a suite of standard safety features including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. The lineup includes nine trims, with the TRD Pro and Trailhunter models catering to off-road enthusiasts, the latter equipped with specialized gear for overlanding.
