  • A 19-year-old has been charged in connection to massive New Jersey wildfire that has scorched 15,000 acres, prosecutors announced.

Joseph Kling, a 15-year-old from New Jersey, has been charged with starting a massive wildfire in Ocean Township by allegedly burning wood pallets in a bonfire. The fire, which began on April 11, spread across 165 acres of the Forked River Mountains wilderness, fueled by dry conditions and high winds. The blaze, which took over a week to contain, threatened homes and led to the evacuation of residents.
