The National Testing Agency (NTA) has implemented stringent security measures for the NEET-UG exam scheduled for 5 May, including the transportation of question papers under police escort and the deployment of NTA observers at exam centers. In response to recent controversies, the NTA has also decided to monitor coaching centers to prevent any malpractices. Additionally, the agency has revised the eligibility criteria for MBBS admissions, now allowing students who studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology (PCMB) in their 10+2 to be eligible, a change influenced by the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. These measures aim to ensure the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
