Under the cooperation agreement, the 3 partners will collaborate for R&D, manufacturing and sales of this new type of eVTOL aircraft, to accelerate the technological advancements, industrialisation and production capacity growth.
EHang, a leading autonomous aerial vehicle technology platform company, has announced a strategic partnership with JAC Motors and Guoxian Holdings to establish a manufacturing base for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles in Hefei, China. This collaboration aims to leverage JAC Motors' expertise in automotive manufacturing and Guoxian Holdings' capabilities in industrial park development to produce EHang's EH216-S passenger-carrying UAVs. The new facility will not only focus on the production of these innovative vehicles but also on fostering the development of the urban air mobility ecosystem. This move is part of EHang's broader strategy to expand its production capacity and market presence, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, by integrating advanced manufacturing techniques and local resources.
