  • All Stellantis Italian production sites will remain active and will increase output from 2026 thanks to new models being introduced, Jean-Philippe Imparato, the chief of the carmaker's European operations,

Stellantis plans to increase production at its Italian plants by 2026, aiming to produce 1 million vehicles annually, up from the current 750,000, according to the company's Europe chief, Uwe Hochgeschurtz. The strategy is part of Stellantis' broader plan to enhance its manufacturing footprint in Italy, where it has faced criticism for underutilization of its facilities. Hochgeschurtz emphasized the importance of Italy in Stellantis' global strategy, highlighting the need for a supportive industrial policy to ensure the success of these plans.
