Delta flight crashes upon arrival at Toronto Pearson Airport

A Delta Air Lines flight experienced a dramatic incident upon landing at Charlotte Douglas International Airport when it skidded off the runway. The incident occurred late at night, involving Delta Flight 1092 from Atlanta, which was carrying 96 passengers, two pilots, and three flight attendants. No injuries were reported among the passengers or crew. The plane, an Airbus A319, came to a stop in a grassy area just off the runway, leading to the temporary closure of the airport for safety assessments and emergency response. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the cause of the mishap, focusing on weather conditions, aircraft maintenance, and pilot actions. Delta has issued a statement apologizing for the inconvenience and ensuring that all passengers were safely transported to the terminal.
