Volkswagen has decided to cancel the U.S. launch of its ID.7 electric sedan, which was set to be introduced as a new model in its electric vehicle lineup. This decision comes as part of a strategic shift by Volkswagen to focus on more profitable segments in the U.S. market, particularly SUVs and crossovers. The ID.7, although well-received in Europe for its design and technology, was deemed less suitable for American consumers who show a stronger preference for larger vehicles. Instead, Volkswagen plans to enhance its offerings in the SUV category, with models like the ID.4 and the upcoming ID.Buzz, aiming to better align with current market trends and consumer demands in the U.S.
