CPS graduate detained by ICE transported to Louisiana facility, family says

A 19-year-old Cincinnati Public Schools graduate detained by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement is being transported to an airport in Michigan, officials confirmed to WLWT Tuesday.


Emerson Colindres, a 23-year-old man from Cincinnati who was arrested on March 15 for allegedly shooting and killing a 21-year-old woman, is no longer listed as an inmate at the Butler County Jail. Colindres was initially held on a $1 million bond following the incident, which occurred on March 14 in the 1600 block of Millville Avenue in Hamilton. The Butler County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Colindres is not currently in their custody, but did not provide further details on his status or whereabouts. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
