U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has called for airlines to increase their flight offerings from Newark Liberty International Airport to cater to the high demand during the summer travel season. In a letter addressed to the CEOs of United Airlines and other carriers, Buttigieg emphasized the need for more flights to alleviate the pressure on air travel, especially as the busy summer period approaches. He highlighted that the current flight schedules are insufficient to meet the needs of travelers, urging the airlines to take immediate action to improve service and reduce disruptions.
