MP: 'Crorepati' ex-constable of transport department booked for hiding facts to get job

A former constable of the Madhya Pradesh Transport Department, who is now a crorepati, has been booked for allegedly hiding facts to secure his job. The accused, identified as Rakesh Kumar Shukla, reportedly concealed information about a previous criminal case against him when he applied for the constable position in 1997. The case came to light after a complaint was filed by a senior transport department official, leading to an investigation that confirmed Shukla's misrepresentation. Shukla, who has since amassed significant wealth, faces charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for cheating and forgery. The Madhya Pradesh Police have initiated further inquiries to determine the extent of his assets and any other potential irregularities in his employment history.
