Priyanka Gandhi attacks BJP-led government, says border security rules changed for Adani's energy park

  • Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday questioned the BJP-led government over a media report concerning the relaxation of protocols for a renewable energy park near the Pakistan border being developed by Adani Group and asked if "one person's business interest bigger than the question of national security".

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a prominent Congress leader, has accused the BJP-led central government of modifying border security regulations to favor the Adani Group's energy project in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. She criticized the government for allegedly allowing the Adani Group to establish a green energy park on land previously designated as a "no man's land" for security reasons. Gandhi highlighted that this decision was made despite objections from the Border Security Force (BSF), which had raised concerns about the potential security risks. She further questioned the government's priorities, suggesting that national security was being compromised for the benefit of a private company, and called for an explanation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this issue.
