SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 17, 2009) - Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: [ RVBD ]), the IT infrastructure performance company for networks, applications and storage, today announced that Johnna Bowley, senior director of global channel and partner marketing, has been recognized by Everything Channel's CRN Magazine as one of the Top 100 Women in the Channel for the second consecutive year. The Top 100 Women in the Channel were chosen by the editors of the magazine based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel. The Top 100 Women in the Channel represents a changing trend in a traditionally all-male industry.

Bowley has been invaluable in building out a highly channel-centric business model, most notably with the global launch of the Riverbed® Partner Network (RPN) in 2008 and 2009. The RPN is a worldwide channel program that enables and rewards partners, including systems integrators, service providers, value-added resellers (VARs) and distributors that distribute and resell Riverbed award-winning solutions. Riverbed provides its partners with solutions to help drive incremental revenue and then supports RPN members' ability to market and sell those solutions with sales and technical training and certification, as well as marketing, sales and technical tools that help drive success in competitive situations. The enhancements to the program this year have enabled Riverbed to work more closely with partners in an effort to increase demand, create training opportunities, and provide market awareness around Riverbed solutions.

"We are very pleased to see women executives reaching the highest levels in a wide range of dynamic companies. It is with great pleasure that we honor the women that have made a profound impact in the technology marketplace. We offer our congratulations to Johnna Bowley for her significant contributions to our industry," said Robert C. DeMarzo, senior vice president and editorial director, Everything Channel.

"Johnna has played a significant role in defining Riverbed's strategy for the channel by leading the efforts to create our global partner program," said Steve Chappell, vice president, worldwide channels at Riverbed. "This recognition is a testament to Johnna's leadership in the channel."

Bowley has more than 18 years of channel marketing, channel sales, strategic marketing and go-to-market experience. Prior to joining Riverbed in 2007, Bowley held positions with leading companies including EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, NetApp and HP/Compaq, where she architected worldwide channel programs that drove sales and market leadership in all major markets, including APAC, EMEA and Latin America.

A special feature of the Top 100 Women in the Channel is in the August issue of CRN Magazine, and expanded coverage will be featured online at [ www.channelweb.com ].
